چکیده

This study emphasis on draining and slowing runoff volumes in arid semi-arid lands regions using HEC-HMS model linked with various Best Management Practices (BMPs) alternatives. The proposed methods may help significantly reducing flash flood precipitation improving instream water quality. It provides facilities to increase retention times infiltration rates. Recently, flooding is occurring almost every two-year basis threatening human lives damaging properties. Modern urbanization of the cities has great impacts schemes, it increases peak streamflows reduces time peak. Eventually, major experienced newly developed areas accommodate population, thus surface would substantially. In addition outflows from surrounding high desert which form a significant portion volumes. This modern progressive management scheme that emphasize enhancing soil attenuation by construction absorb water. We formulated five proposals for mitigation derived BMP techniques purposes stormwater management. Rainfall-runoff natural disaster modeling was simulated (Hydrological Modeling Systems). Geographic Information System (GIS) coupled employed this delineate watershed line simulate streams discharges. Results investigating dry dams' option showed reduction both consequently, mitigated spreads longer. Furthermore, downstream calculations prove contributions other events increasing hazards downstream. Outlet bottom size storage capacity are parameters control hazards. Outcomes resources managers decision-makers who need immediate action plans operational responses when floods occur. Discharge outflow rates were assessed CN methods, studied area Systems (GIS). reveals ranges 0.04 0.77 cm/hr. Also, results shows capable simulating based event.

Impact of Watershed Management activities on flood hydrograph Using HEC-HMS Model (Case Study: Ramyan Watershed)
Increasing the use of water and soil resources in watershed in recent years and unproductive and inappropriate use of land ecology has exacerbated the occurrence of floods. In this context, watershed management is one of the most effective ways to cope with this crisis. This research quantify the results of these activities by calculating the decreased volume and discharge due to biomechanical ...

agreed to take an initiative on flood prediction, prevention and mitigation. A core group led by the Netherlands and France has prepared a "best practice document" on flood prevention, protection and mitigation to be presented to the Water Directors meeting in Athens in June 2003. متن کاملFlood zoning estimation and river management by using HEC-RAS and GIS model
Reliable estimates of river stream fl ow and fl ood zoning maps are needed for water resourcesmanagement such as fl ood mitigation, water supply, dam construction and irrigation. Flood zoning needsaccurate data and is one of the non-structural fl ood management methods. This paper describes theapplication of HEC-RAS and GIS model to determine fl oodplains maps for the part of Sardabrud Rivertha...
متن کاملSpatial Analysis of Flood Hazard in Nirchay River Basin Using HEC-HMS Model and and fuzzy logic
Floods are one of the most abundant and destructive natural disasters that every year are caused heavy losses of life and property. Due to human activity in river systems and construction in rivers, flood damage has an upward trend. One of the most important actions to reduce flood damage is the provision of flood hazard zoning maps and their use in spatial planning. In this study, the risk of ...
متن کامل"Technical Report" Flood Hydrograph Simulation Using HEC-HMS Model in Sarbaz River Basin of Sistan and Baluchestan Province
Hydrological models are simplified representation of the real basin system, which helps to assess basin function in response to different inputs and better understanding of hydrological processes. The HEC-HMS model is one of the most important hydrological models for Flood estimating volumes and discharge in watersheds. In this research, the HEC-HMS hydrologic model was used to simulate the ...
